Guitar bridge saddle

Noticed how the strings come from the pegs to the saddle.

The Saddle is a part of the guitar. The saddle is connected to the bridge, the place where the strings are held in. The saddles job is to keep the strings aligned and in place.

Description[]

The saddle is described as the part of the guitar that; "Physically supports and aligns the strings." It does this because, the saddle has little grooves, where the strings are place support and help align them. If the saddle is adjusted, the action of the strings can be raised. This is possible on an electric guitar. The saddle can be made out of metal or plastic. On acoustics, it can even be bone (found on upper class guitars.)
